26. Apollo 11

Think way back in 1969. The Internet was not invented. the TV was so blurry and it was a big box. But, NASA managed to get people on the moon! Apollo 11 was the first crew of men to land on the moon. Apollo 11 was the first mission that landed people on the moon. all the other spacecraft circled the moon but this is the one that landed. It was the most famous mission ever! Some people even believe that every space mission was to land on the moon!
When they got to the moon they carried out experiments. Also, they grabbed some samples of moon rocks so that the scientists could study it back on earth. It took a total of 3-4 days to get to the moon. This was also the mission of the great step.

Once they got to the moon they couldn't take their eyes off the Earth. I mean, just look at it!

Once they had gotten into the lunar module they found that they only had 30 seconds of fuel left but luckily Buzz saved the day!
Once they got back from the moon they had to quarantine for 21 days in case they had got an infection from the moon. Just like us because of COVID-19. The problem was they didn't use the space suits again because the lunar dust stuck onto the suits and they couldn't get it off.
After their 21 days of quarantine they had an enormous party with a total of 20,000 people on the side walks 🎉🥳!
